The cover of the new Yes album Heaven and Earth has been revealed, and it looks like one of Roger Dean’s finest. Here is the article from Yes World describing the new album:

At Last! Our Yes Tribute video is live on Youtube (and here)

We’re extremely excited to be presenting our official intro video to our Yes Tribute band, Sound Chaser! While we had to leave a couple of songs we’d taped out because of video problems (our videographer’s camera lost And You and I and we ran into editing problems with Heart of the Sunrise), we’re glad to be able to finally share this!  (Heart of the Sunrise, and a live version of And You and I are forthcoming — here’s the audio tracks with them included.)

Overall, we’re happy with the video.  Just a reminder, we play with no backing tracks or samples (except the Owner ones YES used).  Come see us live!  We do many of the “classic” YES songs (including all of the Close to the Edge album) and covers from the 90125 era.

We have bios for all the band members above, and lots of other information on our site.

If you’re a promoter, click on our EPK link above for more info!

We’re back to the studio for video! And check out our audio!

We were in the studio Sunday finishing up our promo; we should have the promo video up here in a few days!

Here’s a snippet (from a cellphone camera) of our video shoot for our promo!

And here’s the full audio track from our promo!

Keep checking in!

Here’s some samples from a recent rehearsal… take a listen!

Finally! Click here for some song samples from a recent rehearsal of our Yes tribute band!

We recorded off the board at a recent rehearsal, and put together a sample mp3 of some of the songs we do! Keep in mind that we were recording live off an antiquated board (in current standards) with too few channels for our instrumentation, so we have some other mixers slaved into it. Please forgive the balance, but you’ll get an idea of the great new synergy with the new band makeup…  Interested in the band?  Leave a comment or email ken@noisyboys.com for more info!

Progress continues at a great rate on our Yes music!

Tim’s doing a fantastic job with the lead vocals in Sound Chaser, and we’ve got the show pretty much lined up music-wise… currently putting the finishing touches on Hold On from 90215.  We’re one of the few Yes Tribute bands (only?) to incorporate some of the great newer songs (Owner of a Lonely Heart was, after all, Yes’s biggest hit).

Not that we’re ignoring the old material.  We’ve got the entire Close To The Edge album pretty much ready to go (Close to the Edge, And You and I, and Siberian Khatru),  What, you say?  Only three songs? But they are three — expansive — songs, if you will.  (Here’s what Wikipedia has to say about this album.)

And we’ve got a good chunk of Fragile “in the can,” so to speak.  Roundabout (of course) Long Distance Runaround/the Fish, and Heart of the Sunrise,  And we couldn’t forget I’ve Seen All Good People off the Yes album…

Watch this spot for live video and audio samples from our practices very soon!

Sound Chaser welcomes singer and instrumentalist Tim Wardle to the “Jon Anderson” seat in the band!

We are very pleased, no — ecstatic  — to announce that Tim Wardle has agreed to be the new lead vocalist for our South Florida, YES tribute band, Sound Chaser. Tim is the missing link for which we’ve been searching a long time. Unbeknownst to us, Tim moved down to Jensen Beach, FL from PA a few short month’s ago. Check outsome of Tim’s internet collaborative work here and decide if he does not sound exactly like Jon Anderson. Our first rehearsal Saturday with Tim was awesome!

Didn’t Win the $2K, but Had A Great Time Entertaining Yes Fans in South Florida

Our Yes tribute band Sound Chaser finished up a suite of great tribute band performances (six bands performed) at the South Florida Fair January 26!  The 30 minute set  starting a bit late because of sound problems (with the amount of instruments on stage, we had more mics and instrument connections than any two other bands combined that performed). However, the music  was well received and one of the judges, Leslie Streeter of the Palm Beach Post, tweeted that the band was exquisite instrumentally.  The competition was tough, however, and the Journey tribute band Odyssey Road was named the winner of the event.  Here’s a few of the pictures from the show; we’ll try to get some video up soon!

Sound Chaser’s first performance of 2013: Bringing Yes Music to the South Florida Fair!

The Yes tribute band Sound Chaser will be appearing at the 2013 4th Annual Classic Rock Tribute Band Competition January 26th at 7:00pm.  Singer Craig Lake will be fronting the band, with Tom Matlosz on guitar and other stringed instruments, Alex Chigos on a plethora of keys, Patrick Imus on Bass and Pedals, and Ken Burton on drums.

Sound Chaser will open its competition set with the hit Yes song Owner of a Lonely Heart, followed by other notable Yes songs like All Good People and Roundabout.

Other tribute bands competing Saturday include a Led Zeppelin tribute and a Journey tribute among others, so classic rock will be well represented.

The winner of the competition will be playing at 8:00 pm. Sound Chaser will be performing some epic Yes pieces (should we win) such as Heart  of The Sunrise, Going For the One, Siberian Khatru, Starship Trooper, and others.

Come see us Saturday at 7 at the Pepsi Stage at the Party Pavilion!
